Having already started two successful restaurant franchises in my city, I was feeling restless and thinking that it was time to try a new venture. I am always on the look out for franchise opportunities, and this time around I thought I might like to step outside of my comfort zone and try my hand at a franchise that was not food related.
When an associate presented me with a Florida baseball camp opportunity that he had come across, I knew that I was going to go for it. It was drastically different from anything I had ever done before, but I was confident that I could make a go of it. Maybe even a bit too confident at the start.
Thankfully this baseball training franchise had a lot of support for me at the beginning because I quickly came to realize that a sports franchise opportunity was radically different from running a restaurant. It was a steep learning curve, but I had fun learning the ins and outs of managing a successful training franchise and thankfully I didn't run the business into the ground! It has been a huge success and by far my favorite business venture.
