For some people, school is just a game — and I don't mean that as a criticism. You can actually go to college to learn about a game — in this case, the game of golf.
Yes, there really are schools dedicated to teaching students about golf. Some of these students, as you might expect, want to pursue professional golf careers. However, many have also recognized that pro golf isn't the only golf career available.
There are many careers available in the golf industry, and since the industry is quite popular and therefore expanding rapidly, your chances at getting a job are pretty darn good. Here are a few examples to tempt you:
1. Golf instructor
2. Caddie
3. Golf course landscaper
4. Golf course maintanence
5. Golf advertising
6. Golf resort public relations
7. Golf photographer
8. Golf writer/copywriter
This is just the start of it, too. There are many different careers available to those with degrees from golf schools.
You owe it to yourself to work at a job you actually enjoy. It's easy and incredibly satisfying to go to school to learn something you already love, so why not — pursue an education and a career in your dream industry!
